Konscious Studios is proud to announce the release of Bekon’s worldwide single, “Cold As Ice”. Bekon has been steadily working at Konscious since May ’17. The prolific producer / songwriter, now turned artist, has credits including Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Sza, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Aloe Blacc, and many more.

Bekon might not be a name that’s familiar to a whole lot of R&B fans yet, but in a short period of time from now, that might not be the case. The singer/producer is also known as Dan Tannenbaum, a man who had no less than 8 production credits on Kendrick Lamar‘s “DAMN”., an LP that has been highly regarded as one of the albums of the year. Now, he steps into a dreamy, keyboard-heavy world where a femme fatale figure has made his heart melt away. With a James Bond-themed cover art scheme and multiple influences from genres outside of the hip-hop umbrella, it may not be easy to categorize this debut single from Bekon. However, with some strong production value and the potential to grow vocally, teaming up with the right people and settling into a more distinctive lane instrumentally will only help this industry veteran carve out his own niche as a performer.”

The fruits of Bekon’s labor may come to fruition this coming January ’18 as he attends the 60th annual Grammy Awards, having received multiple nominations for both Kendrick Lamar’s “Damn”, and Sza’s “Ctrl”. Good luck to Bekon!
